In other news, Keniann has been growing so much lately! It's so hard to believe that she will be 5 months coming up! She wears cloth diapers (part-time) and the only downside to them is that they make her have a bubble butt, especially with pants on! If she does wear her cloth diapers I can't put her in her normal size pants because they are too small to fit over the cloth diapers. But so far they work just as good as disposables and I love the cute patterns on them (:

New hat and bubble butt
Wyatt got a new hat from his Memaw (Daniel's grandmaw) and he won't leave the house without wearing it. He loves that hat, probably because his daddy has one just like it. It's a camouflage John Deere hat. I think he looks too cute in his hat!

Four months and already trying to scoot!
I can't believe Keniann is already trying to crawl at four months old! She is way ahead of Wyatt, he didn't start this until he was about seven months old. She is such a little busy body! She never stays still. Even when I put her in her bumbo or bouncer she automatically pivots or turns to one side to roll out of it. This was so different from Wyatt because he just loved to sit still the majority of the time when he was this age.

Family Christmas Gatherings
This year we had not one or two, but five family gatherings! It was definitely tiring with some late nights, but Wyatt and Keniann were troopers. Christmas was a lot of fun this year now that Wyatt and all his cousins are getting bigger. Here are some pictures of just a few of the gatherings we had..
Emily, Abby, Fisher, Brennan and Wyatt at Gigi's house. Gigi made spaghetti for the kids while the adults had crawfish jambalya. The kids loved eating together at the "kids only" table! |
Pat and Keniann (: |
Say Cheese! |
Wyatt loved his new scooter from Gigi! |
Wyatt, Gabriel, Keniann, Faith and pawpaw. This is as good as is gets when you try to get two active 2 year olds to sit down to take a picture! |

Birthday Date and a Christmas Tree
Daniel and I went on our official first date night this weekend since Keniann was born. And since it was my birthday Sunday, I wanted to go out to eat and to a movie. We very much needed that! We went for sushi for dinner, since that's one of the few things I can eat on my diet for Keniann.
My mom and dad watched the kiddos. Keniann did wonderfully, taking her bottle and sleeping like a pro (which I was worried about). My mom said that Wyatt was very confused watching her take a bottle! He kept wanting her to put it in her mouth, even after she was done. This was her second bottle and both times so far have been good. It's nice knowing that she can take one, but I would much rather her prefer me (:
On Sunday we got to put up and decorate our Christmas tree! Daniel found this beauty in the woods behind our house (:
Wyatt enjoyed helping us put the ornaments on. Keniann was asleep for this tradition, but maybe next year (:

Lately
What's been going on with us lately? Well let me tell you...
Keniann is growing super fast. At her two month appointment yesterday, she weighed 11 pounds and 3 oz. I can't believe how time flies when you have a second child! She is doing much better now that I am completely off of diary and soy. She has been smiling and cooing up a storm! I love the way she smiles (: When she smiles, her mouth opens up really wide with her tongue moving around, it's the cutest thing (: It's like she uses her entire face to smile. And just since last week she has also been able to hold her head up really well when laying on her stomach.
Daniel is starting the job interviewing process. His boss and family are moving to Colorado. We will surely miss them so much! They have been such a blessing to our family!
I don't want to jinx anything but Keniann has been sleeping for a long stretch of 6 to 7 hours! She has been doing this since she was 6 weeks old. And when she does wake up the one time around 3 am to eat so goes right back to sleep without rocking her.
Wyatt and I have had some really sweet bonding moments together lately. We both want and appreciate our little time when we do have any to have fun together. I try to make sure as much as possible that I get that time with him, but sometimes it's difficult when Kenainn has her days where she needs me for most of the day.
I'm looking forward to Christmas coming up! Yep, I'm one of those people who love the 24 hour Christmas music on the radio.
We are preparing to move to Baton Rouge! The home belongs to Daniel's great grandfather. This isn't definete yet, but for now we are moving in that direction. We hope to move in sometime within the next couple of months. I'm just looking forward to being right next to the grocery store instead of having to drive 20 minutes like I do now. Also it will be good fo the kids because there is so much for them to do there! The only downside is that I will be a little further from my mom ): But atleast she is forty to forty five minutes away.

Allergy
Unfortunately, Keniann has a dairy and soy allergy just like Wyatt had. I was hoping Wyatt was just a one time baby with this, but atleast I have already been through this before. It hasn't been too difficult for me changing my diet (since it's second time around). The only thing different is that she is way more sensitive than what Wyatt was. For instance, I have been off of dairy and soy for a couple of weeks when all of a sudden Keniann had a terrible day of extreme fussiness and blood in her diaper. At first I was thinking she might be allergic to wheat (since I was off diary/soy for weeks) or something else, but then I realized I bought a pack of gum and the few pieces I chewed had soy in them. I couldn't believe just that little amount of soy caused her to have blood! I have to be extremely careful in what I eat. The major downside is not being able to go out to eat. The only places that are safe are the salad bar at Jason's Deli (I bring my own dressing) and Whole Foods where they tell you exactly what allergens are in their foods.
I hope and pray that she gets over her allergy like Wyatt did. He was completely better when he was around 9 months old. But until then I will continue to cook my own food without dairy and soy. And don't worry, Daniel and Wyatt get their own meals fixed with all the dairy and soy they desire (:
