Baby Number 3!

We are excited that baby number three will be arriving sometime around April 6th of next year!  I am currently 10 weeks today.

We were very surprised to find out the news almost a month ago.  We weren't planning on having another baby anytime soon so the news was very shocking to us.  In fact, I was six weeks when I discovered that I was pregnant.  We took a few weeks before telling anyone to absorb the fact that Wyatt will only be 3 years and 3 months old and Keniann will be 18 months old when this baby is born (prayers are much needed please!).  It will be hard and thankfully I have both my mom and mother-in-law to help whenever I need them, but I know that God gives us what we can handle.  No, actually I may not be able to handle it, but that's why I need God!  I remind myself daily that I will most likely be in "survival mode" (that's what I like to call it) for some time.

I have been very nauseated and tired now for a month and I'm hoping it all subsides in a couple of weeks.  For both Keniann and Wyatt, I felt better after I hit the three month mark so maybe this one will follow the same path too?!  Since Wyatt is older this go round he knows that we will have another baby.  I ask if he wants a brother or sister and he quickly responds "brother."  He points to my ultrasound picture and says it's "the new baby."

We are not finding out what we are having this time.  We enjoyed doing that when we had Wyatt and since we have one of each already, it doesn't matter.

In other news, we are almost complete with the new house and will be moving the end of this month, which we are sooo ready!  Never again will we remodel a house that's an hour away.  Pictures of it coming soon!

A Little Update

It's been almost a month and I need to update on what's been going on.

Keniann is very much a handfull these days!  This child never stops moving.  She rarely sits down for a few seconds, which makes it tiring keeping up with her!  I have to hold or sometimes hang on to her just so she won't fall in the bathtub.  But she is such a love!  She loves to give me kisses throughout the day.  I feel like she goes through a growth spurt everyday for the amount of food she eats.  She eats just as much as Wyatt most of the time, but I guess so since she walks or almost runs so much.

Wyatt has a new pet!  He has a beta fish that he named "Moon."  Don't really know why he wanted to call him this, but that's his name!  Wyatt loves the responsibility of feeding him and telling him goodnight/morning.  We would love to get a dog, but since our landlord doesn't allow dogs, Moon will have to do (:  Plus there is no pet hair that I have to worry about cleaning up!

We are still very busy with fixing up the new house.  Doing all the work by yourself is really alot of work!!  Yes we are saving lots of money doing everything ourselves, but it takes so long!  We only have one/two days during the week to work there and most of the time it's Daniel by himself working on the house.  I tried one time to work with having to bring the kids and that was a total disaster!!  Wyatt stuck his whole arm in a paint can and Keniann was so fussy the whole time we were there so I can't help Daniel much.

But what I can do is pick out everything to put in the home, which has been so much fun!  I can't wait to decorate once we move in (:

We are looking forward to celebrating our five year anniversary this month and next month celebrating baby girl's first birthday!

Some cute videos (:

Keniann took her first steps the day after she turned 9 months old.  That is a big difference from Wyatt at 15 months.  She just looks way too little to be walking!  It's so cute though!  It's been a rough transition too because she has had more injuries (only minor ones thank goodness!).

Here is another video of us goofing around after Daniel was home from work.

House Update

Here are some pictures of the new home from the inside.  May I remind you that we still have alot more work to be done and stuff is just in random places as you will see from the pictures.  I'm really excited about having the cabinets painted!  I think it will transform the kitchen and bathrooms.  The kitchen cabinets will be white on the top and very dark grey on the bottom half.  I may change my mind and just do white top and bottom, but I really like the two tone look.  The bathroom will be the dark grey color.

This is the kitchen/breakfast area.  The cabinets have a primer on them.  As with all pictures, the lighting doesn't do anything for the color but I love the grey we used on the wall!  We plan on changing the countertops and flooring in here too.  Pink countertops are def not my style!

The breakfast area of the kitchen that leads to the back door.

The formal dinning room.  I have no idea where our piano will go, but not in this room!  Oh, the chandelier will definetly be going!

Getting Better

I haven't posted yet about Keniann's acid reflux.  She has had it since the day she was born.  It has been a very hard season dealing with this, but thankfully we have seen some improvement in the past few months.  Keniann has been on medication since she was 4 months old and it has been the only thing that has worked.  I have tried the chiropractor (which we still go to one day a week) and even gone to a holistic doctor to try different herb supplements, but all those didn't seem to help her one bit.  I hate her taking the medicine, but I had to come to a point of surrender when everything else seemed to fail.  I'm hoping she will be able to be off the medicine by the time she turns one.  My doctor told me that most children are able to once they start walking and taking in more solids.

In other news, Keniann had a big nursing strike a few weeks ago, which lead to her weaning herself.  It was a hard time for me because I was at no point of stopping breastfeeding, but she just kept refusing me for every feeding!  She even refused breastmilk from the bottle, which was so strange!  My doctor told me that some babies once they get a bottle of formula, they don't go back.  That's exactly what happened to Keniann.  I thought I would make it to atleast a year this time, but atleast I made it this far!  I was also torn because Keniann has so many allergies to things I ate that I was starting to get burnt out with the foods I was eating.  And I was also starting to feel nutritionally deprived, even though I was taking atleast 8 different supplements daily to make sure my body was getting everything it needed.

But the bright side is that I can actually eat anything I want and it feels liberating!  I actually get to eat dairy, soy, nuts, banana's and other things (it's a long list) that she was allergic too!  I just find it odd that she can handle regular dairy formula, but yet still react to my milk when I ate dairy.  Strange?!  I asked the doctor about that one too and she has never heard of such.  I told her that I tested it enough to make sure that this was true.  I'm just glad she isn't hurting anymore from the things that she was allergic too!

Lately

It's harvest time here at the Clark home!  We have been busy planting, picking and cooking all of our vegetables from our garden.  So far we have enjoyed fresh green beans, potatoes, turnips, lettuce, spinach, beets, squash, peas, and zucchini.  The fig tree has tons, in mean TONS of figs that will be ready to eat within the next month.  I don't know if I will have time this year to make fig jelly, but boy is it good!  Also we live close to a blueberry farm and they will be ready this coming up week.  Can't wait for those (:

We are done with painting in the new house, except cabinets which we plan on doing those the next two weekends or so.  I am so ready to move!  I can't wait for all the space we will have!

Wyatt's favorite thing he loves to do lately is to impatiently inform me of when Keniann does something that needs my attention like cleaning up spit up on the floor or grab her before she makes a crawling dash to pull up on the tv stand.  He also says the phrase, "Oh no" alot and loves talking about riding the tractor or "mawn mower".  He has been a big helper around the house too.  He likes to throw things in the trash when I ask him or pick up his toys.  He loves watching Curious George and The Cat in The Hat, as well as wanting me to read those to him.

Keniann is crawling up a storm!  She is getting quicker by the day.  She has recently started walking while holding on to the couch or her activity table.  She loves to follow Wyatt everywhere he goes!  And once she finally catches up to him she squeals and smiles so big, it's really crazy cute!!

And the rest of this post are pictures, enjoy (:

Watching a dvd together

They even play trucks together (:

Tractor boy and Chatter box

Wyatt loves riding his tractor.  He rides it pretty much everytime we go outside to play!

Keniann has become quite the talker lately.  She melts my heart (:

A Busy Season

We are still steadily working on the home before we move in.  So far we have new paint on the walls, the popcorn off ceilings and soon we will be working on redoing the flooring.  I promise to have some pictures up once we are done (:  I am so ready to move!!  I'm really looking forward to Keniann having her own room since she is still in our bedroom.  I think that will help all of us sleep better.

Not only are we busy with the house, but it seems like lately we going through this big wave of birthday parties, showers and weddings.

Before I had Keniann, so many people told me that it's easy in the beginning when going from one to two kids because the baby just eats and sleeps.  Well, for me that wasn't true at all!  Now that Keniann is seven months old I can say that it has never been easy so far and I feel like it gets busier the older she gets.  I wouldn't say that it is "harder", but just busier.  For example, Keniann has started solids the past couple of weeks so not only do I have to fix Wyatt's and my lunch, but I also have to make Keniann's as well.

But I think that everyone can be busy.  Actually, most people I talk to tell me that they have been busy.  So I try to remember to appreciate the season I'm in because it won't last long.

Happy 6 months!

Keniann, you turned 6 months yesterday and boy has it been a super fast six months!!  A lot has changed in a month.  This past month you have started to:

-practice sitting up independently (you are so close!)

-crawling/scooting (it's more like a half crawl/half army crawl with some baby yoga in the mix)

-driving your brother crazy!  It's been so much fun to watch you two interact

At six months, you are taking the phrase "baby proofing" to a whole new level.  You are already getting into things that Wyatt never did at his age.  I will walk away for only a second and come back to find you way across the room from where you were.  I can already tell that you are going to give us a run for our money.  Good thing you are really cute (:

In the past few weeks, I have introduced rice cereal to you and you have loved it!  For months now you have gotten excited just seeing me eat or drink something so I felt like you might be interested in eating yourself.  You love your milk though!  And your chuncky thighs can prove it (:  You nurse now for only 5 min on one side about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day and wake up 2 or 3 times a night to eat.

Everytime I rock you to sleep you reach your little arm straight out to feel my face to go to sleep.  It's just about the sweetest thing ever and my favorite time with you.

Here are some few other random things that I would be sad to forget:

*Your favorite thing to scoot for is the remote control.  And once you have it you hold it in the air and study all the buttons on it.
*You rub your eyes when you are sleepy
*Your favorite spot is being on the floor.  Jumping in your jumper is also a favorite as well!
*You have always and still love to sleep on your tummy
*You are in a size 3 diaper.  You wear 6-9 month cloths and you wear a size 1 or 2 shoe.
*You watch me everywhere I go, and you cry almost everytime I leave the room.  You also love watching Wyatt wherever he goes, and you get really happy when your daddy gets home from work!!
